Christina Montes (of Studio Montes) is a Colombian-American traveling tattoo artist who specializes in both machine and occasionally hand-poke tattoos.
Beyond creating art on skin, Chris offers an immersive tattoo experience, valuing the deep connection formed during this vulnerable exchange. She creates a safe haven for clients, no matter the space.
Chris frequently does guest spots at various tattoo shops across the country and tattoo pop-ups at events. She draws inspiration from life on the road and the wonders of the natural world. In her world, the business is truly an extension of themselves, crafting freehand tattoos that flow harmoniously with the body's contours.
Christina is from in Miami, FL & grew up spending her summers in Bogota, Colombia. She has always loved the arts and later graduated from SCAD, the Savannah College of Art & Design. From there she moved to Brooklyn, NY where she lived for 8 years until she left in 2021 to live life on the road- some call it van life :)
